4 Tall Sisters LLC:
4 Tall Sisters recently (February 2022) purchased this amazing condo in Waikoloa Beach Villas. It had been a life-long dream of ours to not only visit this beautiful island, but also to own a condo that we can enjoy time together here as well. 4 Tall Sisters is an LLC and the K2 Unit is owned by 4 sisters who are originally from Iowa. And as our name implies, we are all quite tall! Although we have one more sister, the oldest, she did not have the same ambition as we did in our purchasing endeavor but will certainly be joining us in our family times together. Our parents raised us on a river town and we each had ambitions to work a trade or attend college, and ultimately we each ended up living outside of the state. We’d like to share a short bio so you can learn a bit about each of us.
Debbie Swallow – Debbie is the second oldest of the sisters. She has lived in Anchorage, Alaska since 1997 working as a Nurse Manager for an outpatient surgery center for the past 22 years. In the summer of 2022 she retired and moved to Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to her becoming a nurse, she was enlisted in the Navy as an air traffic controller in Texas. In her free time, Debbie enjoys camping, fishing and hiking in the great outdoors of Alaska. Her oldest daughter is a Surgical Technician in Las Vegas. She also has adult twins that live and work in Alaska.
Pam Puls – Pam is the “middle child” as she often refers to herself. She has lived in Anchorage, Alaska since 1996 and is a Middle School math teacher. She has worked for the Anchorage School District for the past 25 years and in May of 2022 retired. She also moved to Madison, Wisconsin at the end of the summer. The picture shows Pam with her two young adult children that are currently enrolled in college. Her oldest daughter is majoring in Chemical Engineering in Chicago and will be commissioning into the Navy in May of 2023. Her younger daughter will be studying to become a Surgical Technician and is currently a CNA in one of the local hospitals in Alaska.
Marlana Hancock – Marlana is the second youngest sister and lives in Asheboro, North Carolina. She works as a criminal justice professor at a local college. She’s been teaching for 22 years and will also be retiring in the near future. Prior to teaching Marlana was a police officer in North Carolina. In the picture you will see Marlana with her most trusted companion, Duke. He will unfortunately not be able to join us on our island excursions.
Amanda Walch – Amanda is the youngest of the sisters and lives in Anchorage, Alaska. She has lived there for nearly 20 years with her husband Brian and has raised her 4 children in Alaska. Amanda works as a nutrition and public health professor at the local university and has been teaching at the university since 2010. Her children are all currently in college. The oldest, twin boys, both attend Michigan Technological University and are studying engineering and kinesiology. Her girls are first-year college students, one attends the university in Fairbanks, Alaska and the other is diving for the UNLV team.
